Liquidation Pallet Delivery: What to Expect From Checkout to Your Door

Buying a pallet is the easy part. The first time a freight truck pulls up with several hundred pounds of stock for you, it helps to know exactly what is about to happen. Liquidation pallet delivery follows a predictable path, and a little preparation protects both your back and your claim if something arrives damaged.
This guide follows a pallet from checkout to your garage or storeroom: what we do, what the carrier does, and what you should do on the day. It is written for first-time buyers and for anyone who has only ever received parcels.
From checkout to booking and tracking
Choose a pallet, check out, and pick a payment method: card payment link, bank transfer, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay and others. We then email the payment details for the method you chose. Pay using those details and keep your receipt.
The pallet is reserved while we confirm payment. Once payment is confirmed, we book freight with the carrier. Check your spam folder if you are expecting an email, and use the contact page if you have not heard from us.
After the pallet is booked with the carrier, we email you the tracking details. Save that email. It is how you follow the shipment and how you will confirm who is delivering.
The carrier may call or message you to arrange the delivery. Answer unknown numbers around that time, and make sure the delivery address and contact details you gave us are correct. Our shipping page has the current shipping information.
Liquidation pallet delivery: freight basics
A pallet does not travel like a parcel. It goes by freight, often called LTL (less than truckload), which means your pallet shares a truck with other customers’ freight. It is shrink-wrapped, handled by the carrier’s dock staff and moved with forklifts between trucks.
The driver delivers to your address and hands you paperwork to sign. That paperwork matters, because it records the condition of the freight when you accepted it. Freight is free to any country and is included in every listed price, so you are not paying the carrier separately for the shipping itself.
Liftgate delivery and why it matters
A liftgate is a hydraulic platform on the back of the truck. The driver places the pallet on it, lowers it to the ground and rolls the pallet off with a pallet jack. Liftgate delivery is standard in the US, so you do not need a forklift or a loading dock.
The driver can usually bring the pallet to ground level at the curb or the edge of your driveway. Moving it inside is normally your job, which is why the next sections matter.
Business addresses with a dock or open frontage are usually easy for a truck to reach. Residential streets can be tighter: parked cars, low trees, steep driveways and narrow roads can limit where a large truck can stop. Tell the carrier if access is awkward when they contact you.
If your street cannot take a full-size truck, consider whether a business address, a storage unit or a friend’s commercial property would be easier. Plan this before booking, not when the truck is outside.
Address access and the drop spot
Pick a flat, dry, clear area close to where the truck will stop. Measure the path from the drop point to where the pallet will live, including door widths, thresholds and any slope. Have a pallet jack ready, or arrange one to borrow or hire.
Moving a pallet without a forklift is very doable:
- Use a manual pallet jack on flat, firm ground for the final move indoors.
- If you have no jack, break the pallet down: cut the wrap, take boxes off a layer at a time, and carry or cart them in.
- Lift with your legs, wear gloves and closed shoes, and ask for help with heavy boxes.
- Check the stack for stability before cutting any wrap, so boxes do not fall.
Inspect with the driver
Do not sign in a rush. Before the driver leaves, walk around the pallet and check each side and the top. Look for crushed corners, torn wrap, wet cartons, leaning stacks and anything that does not look like it did when it left the warehouse.
Take clear photos of all sides, the top and the pallet label. If you see visible damage, write it on the delivery paperwork before you sign, in plain words such as “crushed corner, two boxes open.” Then photograph the paperwork too. If the damage is serious, you can ask the driver about refusing the delivery, and contact us straight away.
Delivery-day checklist
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| Before the truck arrives | Clear the drop spot, measure doors and paths, and line up a pallet jack and a helper |
| When the driver calls | Confirm the address and flag any access problems |
| At the truck | Check the paperwork matches your order and the pallet count is right |
| Before signing | Inspect all sides and the top, and photograph everything |
| If damage is visible | Write it on the paperwork before signing and photograph that page |
| After the driver leaves | Move the pallet to dry storage and open it carefully |
| Once opened | Compare the contents with the listing and any manifest you requested, and photograph issues |
If something is not as described
Each listing states the lot size, condition and, where the source provides one, the stated retail value. Grade A is like new or unused, Grade B is fully working with light wear or damaged packaging, and Grade C has cosmetic damage or needs attention. Compare what you receive against the listing grade, not against a new retail item.
If something is not as described, contact us with your photos and order details. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. You pay return freight unless the error was ours, there is no restocking fee, and the refund is made within 5 days of inspection. Full terms are on the returns page.
International buyers
Freight is free to any country and included in every listed price. You are responsible for any import duties and taxes charged in your own country. Rules, thresholds and paperwork differ widely, so check your country’s import rules, or ask a customs broker, before you order.
Also check whether the product types you plan to buy, such as batteries or electronics, face restrictions where you live. Questions we can answer are in the FAQ.
